Tooth-Colored Fillings

During your exam, our team will check for any signs of decay in your teeth. If they find any, the decay will be cleaned and a filling placed. At Dad & Doc Dental, we place composite (tooth-colored) fillings for a number of reasons. This material blends better with your other healthy teeth, meaning your smile remains natural-looking. The composite material also requires less prep work for the affected tooth, meaning you spend less time in the dental chair and we’re able to leave behind more healthy tooth structure.

Crowns

Crowns (also known as caps) are used to cover cracks and chips, protect against weakening forces like intense grinding, and even restore teeth to an appropriate size after large fillings or trauma. Crowns add much-needed strength to teeth that have already been weakened or are in danger of damage. The Wallburg, NC dental team at Dad & Doc Dental meticulously design your restoration to ensure a proper fit. Once your crown has been molded, we work closely with you to place, fit, and bond your crown to your tooth to give you a comfortable, fully-function restoration.

Bridges

If you’re missing a couple of teeth in a row, a dental bridge can be used in conjunction with crowns to “bridge” the gap created by the missing teeth. Dr. Swartz will place a crown on either side of the gap, and then attach the bridge, which has a false tooth or teeth in place of your missing tooth or teeth.

If your smile could benefit from crowns or a bridge, call our office today to schedule a visit.

Dentures

Stop struggling with ill-fitting, loose, or uncomfortable dentures. With advancements in materials and design, dentures can look, feel, and function more like your natural teeth than ever before. When you visit our office in Wallburg, NC, Dr. Greg Swartz can give you something to smile about with new dentures.

Start-to-Finish Implants

If you’re missing one or more teeth, dental implants could help you get your smile back. Dr. Swartz is trained in both the placement and restoration phases of implant dentistry, so let him help get back your smile.

Extractions

While our team works hard to preserve your natural teeth, sometimes extraction is the best thing. If you have a tooth that has been severely damaged or has extreme decay, we will discuss your options with you, walk you through the extraction procedure, and make restoration suggestions for after the extraction.

Dr. Swartz can also extract wisdom teeth, which are the third set of molars that typically erupt in the late teenage or early adult years. Because they erupt so much later than other teeth, wisdom teeth often do not have enough room to come in properly. Problems with wisdom teeth include coming in sideways, crowding surrounding teeth, or not erupting completely, causing an abscess. At our dental office near Winston-Salem, NC, we will take X-rays during your exam. If we determine that your wisdom teeth need to be removed, Dr. Swartz will walk you through the procedure and address any questions or concerns you have.

Call our office today to schedule a consultation if you think you may need a tooth extracted.

Endodontics

One of Dr. Swartz’s biggest passions in dentistry is endodontics, or root canal therapy. He enjoys helping patients who are in pain by stopping infection in its tracks and saving their natural tooth. If you need a root canal, Dad & Doc Dental offers sedation to help you feel at ease during the procedure.

When you’re experiencing a lot of pain in a tooth, it could indicate infection, often in the pulp of the tooth. With root canal therapy, our Winston-Salem dentists clean out the infected tooth pulp to stop the infection. They then fill and seal the inside of the tooth to prevent future infection. Finally, a restoration, such as a crown, is placed on top to protect the tooth and add strength.

If you have a tooth infection, let Dr. Swartz stop the pain and save your tooth. Call today for an appointment.
